Share

Outraged over the death of a 17-year-old boy of African descent, who was wearing a hoodie in a Florida neighborhood, hundreds of protestors flocked to Washington, DC in mid-March.  Straight Up:  Urban Voice senior, Malik Hodge, of Washington Metropolitan High School,  caught up with the protestors who were angry that there had been no arrest of George Zimmerman.  He admits to gunning down Trayvon Martin, but claims he acted in self-defense. The story captured most of the nation’s attention  in spring 2012.
