The Urban Journalism Workshop, sponsored by the Washington Association of Black Journalists is a multicultural journalism workshop trains students in the basics of newspaper, broadcast and multimedia journalism. The workshop offers an inside look at journalism as seen by some of the industry’s leading minority journalists. Journalist mentors and instructors come from The Washington Post, the Associated Press, National Public Radio and other media companies. The workshops are conducted on eight consecutive Saturdays at various locations throughout the Washington area.
